Once the identity of The Silver Skeleton is confirmed, the group of friends, who had drifted apart in the years that followed their unpunished crime, reunite in Birmingham and a chain of events cause them to fear for their liberty.
The story takes an occasionally humorous look back at the eighties, which is tempered by the stark present day reality that one of the old acquaintances will likely be accused of murder.
Just when the reader has identified the guilty party, a series of twists cast doubt upon that assumption and the fate of all characters hangs in the balance until the final chapter.
